Fferm GLASFRYN Farm Shop was established in 2001 to sell
the Estate’s Welsh Black Beef, Llyn lamb, game,
pork and bacon direct to our local customers. We are delighted
that since then we have won many awards.
Most recently in the Great Taste 2012 Awards, our
Welsh Black T-Bone Steak has won two gold stars; and our
home cured back bacon and pork sausages have each won
one gold star. And in the 2011 Awards, our Welsh Black
Beef Burgers, made from farm-raised Welsh Black Beef,
were awarded one gold star.
Glasfryn
Farm Shop is also delighted to have won the Gold award
in the Pork category at the Wales, True Taste Food &
Drink Awards 2012. Please

We
pride ourselves on also selling quality fresh, local and
seasonal Welsh produce including traditional homemade
ready meals made using the freshest ingredients. Our farm-raised
meat is available directly from the Farm Shop or you can
order and we
will deliver throughout the UK. We also have a range of
hampers available
(as well as being happy to make bespoke produce hampers).

Located
near Pwllheli on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales, the
team at Glasfryn Farm Shop source as much as possible
from local farmers, producers and suppliers.
As
well as offering a wide selection of the finest local and continental
meats, vegetables,
continental produce, delicious dairy
products and speciality cheeses, we also sell homemade ready
meals, irresistable puddings,
jams and preserves (exclusively selected for Glasfryn Farm Shop) self
serve scoops of quick-frozen fruit and veg, luxury hand-made Welsh
chocolates and biscuits, tangy sauces and salsas and delicious
snacks. We also stock organic produce, Fair Trade produce, as well
as a selection of ‘Free From’ products which include gluten-free,
wheat-free and sugar-free!
THE
FARM
Glasfryn
Fawr Farm is one of the most established estates in Pen Llyn. The
farm is situated in the shadows of the distinctive, Arthurian Eifl
mountain range, overlooking the stunning coastline of Bae Ceredigion
which traditionally supports indigenous livestock breeds. All the
Welsh Black Beef and lamb that we sell in the shop and which is also
used in the ingredients in our homemade meals, is raised on the farm
at Glasfryn.

Have
you considered how far your food has travelled?
The
last few years have seen increasing dissatisfaction with food quality,
safety, increasing prices, the lack of consumer choice and an alarming
inequality in food distribution. Consumers have begun to question
the way in which their food is produced and why it is being transported
unnecessary miles.
Extended
travelling can cause unnecessary stress to the animals, which in turn
affects the quality of the meat. Increased food miles can also add
to the environmental problems caused by transport pollution.
